A gift with meaning
Giving gifts during the holidays is a lot of fun, but sometimes we struggle with finding the right gift to give. This year why not consider giving a gift with meaning?
One of my favorite places to shop online for a special gift is Original Good, a new product brand from World of Good, Inc. Original Good provides a variety of fair trade gifts and accessories. Fair trade benefits countries by helping to improve the quality of life in artisan communities, such as education and nutrition. Many of the artisans are women and fair trade helps to empower them by providing employment and fair wages. You can find Original Good at these great health food stores: Whole Foods and Wild Oats.
This video will give you a better understanding of fair trade and what a great gift you will not only be giving to your certain someone, but also to communities globally.
A few other fair trade shopping sites worth checking out!
Baskets of Africa
Ten Thousand Villages
Fair Indigo
Fair Trade Federation (you can search for retailers)

Awesome idea! Ryan and I stopped giving gifts for Christmas, so this will be the place I’ll go for giving for birthdays!
There is a Ten Thousand Villages store in Alexandria, VA, at least there used to be.
